I am excited to be starting my second year at GRACE as the head librarian/media coordinator.
I graduated from the University of Michigan with B.A. in English and M.I.L.S. in library science. I have over 26 years of experience in a variety of libraries in Michigan and North Carolina.
This summer, I took a graduate class in children’s and young adult literature. I had to read over 100 books and write summaries of them. Many of them will be added to our collection this year, as well as several magazines. I hope to add online access to resources in early 2009.
My husband is a computer science professor at NC State. We are the parents of 3 children who are attending Grace this year. Our family is active at our church, Cary Alliance.
I want to encourage reading and learning in children of all ages. I am looking forward to helping your children to discover the world of information, and to develop a lifetime love of learning.
It will be a pleasure to teach and serve your children this year at GRACE!
