This class is designed to give an introduction to theatre arts as well as provide opportunities for students to develop skills and talents in theatre.  Students will develop a basic understanding of theatre concepts.  Students also have the opportunity to learn and participate in technical theatre as well as acting development.  Some of  the topics that we focus on in this class are: Technical theatre - set, lights, make-up, costumes, sound, props, etc. Aspects of a scene or play - plot, theme, characters, etc. Stage movement Projection and Articulation Improvisation Monologues Acting skills Characterization Dialogues and scenes Writing for the stage Preparing for a performance
