GRACE Christian School is proud to offer Middle and High School students the opportunity to shine on stage! Students are able to participate in extracurricular productions in the fall and spring. Past productions include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Prince Eugene and the Cinder Queen, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Don’t Rock the Boat, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, Beauty IS a Beast, The Model Millionaire, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We are currently preparing for our productions for the 2007-2008 school year and invite you to come out and share in these wonderful shows with us!
In addition to our productions, GRACE also offers two Theater Elective Classes, Theater Production I and II. In Theater Production I we aim to give an Introduction to Theater, as well as to look at Technical Theater (sets, lights, make up, sound, costumes, props, etc.), Stage Movement, Improvisation, Monologues, Acting Skills, Characterization, Writing for the Stage, and Preparing for a Performance. In Theater II we take a deeper look into these things, but also how to take a performance from beginning to end, and performing it in front of an audience.
Do you any questions or comments about the Theater Arts? We would love to hear from you! Please direct them to drama@gracechristian.net.
