Visual art is an opportunity for students to explore various art media from painting to ceramics.  Students learn valuable tools such as using art as narration, using art theory terms to critique and discuss art, and art’s impact on our world.  Each elementary class meets once a week.  Their artwork often correlates with the history curriculum for their grade level.  Middle and high school students may choose to take art as an elective.  They create work using a variety of art materials.  Their focus is on building skill through various techniques & exploring new media or new combinations of media.
