I have been at GRACE almost 14 years. Right now I serve as the Student Information Manager. My primary duties entail maintaining student records, issuing report cards, tracking admissions and withdrawals, and supporting faculty and staff members.
I also coach our ladies' tennis teams. Our tennis program has grown from a middle school team of only six players to middle school and varsity teams with more than 20 girls participating. Team members have a great time learning the game, working on their strokes, and putting their skills into play during matches. Yes, we also go out for ice cream and enjoy a special dinner together every so often!
I love to cook and bake; so of course I thoroughly enjoyed leading our Creative Cooks Cooking Club! We shared recipes, prepared our own "fast food" treats, learned cooking techniques, explored ethnic dishes, identified herbs and spices, and prepared and shared a formal meal at the end of the year. I also enjoy demonstrating/preparing special dishes to enhance their curriculum for teachers and their students
Although my duties are many and varied, my favorite is 'mothering' our students, faculty, and staff. I love watching our children grow from 'babies' in preschool to high school graduates equipped to step out into the world. I count it a blessing to be a member of our special GRACE family!
