My name is Kathy MacDonald and I am part of the first grade teaching team. I graduated from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA in 1993 with a degree in Elementary Education. I began my professional career by teaching preschool, substitute teaching, and then teaching fourth grade full time until I had my first child.
In 1997, my husband and I welcomed our daughter, Victoria, into our family and we made a major move across the state of PA. I settled into the role of wife and mother and I enjoyed the time at home. A few years later, we welcomed our son, Colin, into our family. At that time, I began a career as a Pampered Chef Consultant and future director and successfully ran a business out of my home. This enabled me to be with my children during the day and then contribute to the family budget in the evening while giving my husband quality time with our children. After two years with Pampered Chef, I joined our church’s children’s ministry staff. While on staff, I coordinated the volunteer ministry, background checks, and ran trainings and events for our children’s ministry workers. In the midst of this, we began to home school our two children.
Our family moved to Holly Springs three years ago and in 2006 we joined the GRACE family. Now that my children are acclimated to the new school, the Lord had in His plan to bring me on board, as well. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of GRACE!
