I am a graduate of Lee College (now Lee University) in Cleveland, Tennessee. My husband and I have called North Carolina home for the last 24 years. We became a part of the Grace Christian School family in 1987, when our older daughter was in K4. Two years later our younger daughter started K4 and I joined the staff. Grace has been a great place to work.
I love teaching! I like to watch the excitement on the kids' faces when they "get it!" And I love teaching fourth grade. We get to do lots of fun and exciting things. I get to teach North Carolina history (my favorite subject)! The classes also perform a North Carolina drama which brings what we have been learning alive. We end the year with a trip to the North Carolina Outer Banks and talk more about our study of the ocean and see where some of our history has taken place.
I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my beautiful granddaughter, Marilaura. She takes center stage in our home!
