It is amazing how God leads in our lives.  The first time I entered the doors of Grace I knew God was leading me to teach here at Grace, but the process had begun many years before.  God had to first show and teach me important lessons in life.  First he led me to college where I obtained a B.A. degree in Secondary Education of History.  Next I traveled half way across the country to Kansas City to attend graduate school.  Completing four years of classes and internship I earned a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic medicine.  After 13 years of private practice in North Raleigh, God has led me back to my first love, teaching.  I began teaching middle school history at Grace in 2003 and have loved every minute of it.  I attempt to bring historical information to the students in a story fashion, using games, short plays, projects and interactive activities.
My high school anatomy class is structured to apply class knowledge to practical applicatons.  The students will be challenged through class work, dissection labs, and field trips.  I hope to increase an awareness of various medical field opportunities which students could pursue after high school.
