I love teaching at GRACE! I love the atmosphere and family environment. I have three daughters that attend GRACE and one daughter that attends FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York City. This will be my 10th year teaching math and my 6th year teaching Irish dance. I teach the 9th and 10th grade geometry class and the pre-calculus class. I also teach the three Irish dance elective classes (6th - 12th grade). You can click on "Fine Arts" on the Web page and read all about the fantastic Irish Dance elective.
I was born in Washington, D.C. I moved to Miami, Florida where I spent a good portion of my childhood. I was involved in swimming for five long years and then switched over to spring board diving for another eight years. When I was 16, a friend on the diving team helped lead me to Christ and my life hasn't been the same since! I went to the University of South Carolina on a diving scholarship. There, I studied Mathematics and Business. After graduation, I worked as an actuarial trainee for an insurance company ( major "geek" job). I then settled down and got married to a wonderful man, Doug Clark. We now have four beautiful girls, ages 19, 17, 15, and 12. About 8 years ago I became interested in Irish Dance. I enjoy competing, practicing, performing in shows, and teaching. I also enjoy choreographing dance routines and shows. Our family attends Kings Park International Church in Durham where we have been members for 21 years.
