My husband and I are pleased to call Holly Springs our home. We both grew up in the Chicago area. We have two daughters, a ninth grader and a seventh grader that both attend GRACE.
I worked for IBM for almost 20 years and was blessed to gain a lot of experience on computers, networks and technology. As a parent and an employee at GRACE, I am very impressed with the loving, caring atmosphere at the school and the dedication and Christ-like character of the teachers and staff.
I teach third, fourth, and fifth grade computer. I love helping my students discover how to use technology and teaching them computer concepts. My goal is to have my students go home and teach their parents some new things on the computer! A lot of my time is also spent keeping all of the computers, printers, servers and network working at GRACE. We now have over 350 MacBook computers, a Windows computer labs, 10 servers and many, many printers at the school.
I also work with the teaching staff to help them to incorporate technology into their curriculums. We are all enjoying our new E4 MacBook Initiative and the Smart Interactive whiteboards and I am helping the teachers to learn more about how to include technology based activities in to their lessons.
I love the challenge of helping others to use technology successfully. There is a special joy and peace in working with other strong believers that I never experienced working in corporate America. And it's a pleasure teaching and serving our very special GRACE students!
