Hi, I am Don Payne, the Head of School for GRACE Christian School. I was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. I received my BA degree in Humanities from Bob Jones University in 1976, and in 1984, I received my Master's Degree in Christian School Administration from Biola University. Overall, I have 35 years experience in Christian school education as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and head of school. I have also been privileged to serve on several accreditation teams for the Association of Christian Schools International, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Council on Accreditation and School Improvement/AdvancEd.
I have been truly blessed of the Lord over these last 35 years to be given the opportunity to invest my life into the lives of children and young adults. I am extremely pleased and honored to be a part of the wonderful ministry of GRACE Christian School. It is a joy to serve the Lord together with you.
My wife, Linda, and I have three adult children: Brian, Mark and Sara. Linda worked for 17 years as an executive administrative assistant for Albertsons Inc. Currently, she works part-time for Hope Community Church. Brian, an architect, and my daughter-in-law Sara, live in Apex. They are the parents of three sons; Ethan, Luke and Jackson. Mark works as an adjuster for Nationwide Insurance here in Cary, and is married to Brooke. They have a son named Seth and a daughter Allison. Our daughter, Sara and her husband, Madgi also live in Cary. Magdi works at the Umstead Hotel and Sara is on staff at Hope Community Church.
The Raleigh-Cary area has become a wonderful home for our growing family.
