I love teaching the Irish dance classes at GRACE! I love working with the dancers and the other fine art students and collaborating on our yearly Irish dance/fine arts production!  This will be my 10th year with the dancers at GRACE.  When not working with the GRACE dancers, I teach Irish dance classes in Raleigh (www.rincenaheireann.com) with the Rince na h'Eireann school of Irish dance. I have four daughters that used to attend GRACE.  Three of them are now in college (Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, University of North Carolina in Greensboro, and North Carolina State University).

I was born in Washington, D.C. I moved to Miami, Florida where I spent a good portion of my childhood. I was involved in swimming for five long years and then switched over to spring board diving for another eight years.  I went to the University of South Carolina on a diving scholarship and competed locally and nationally and was part of the All-American collegiate Diving team all 4 years of college. At the University, I studied Mathematics and Business. After graduation, I worked as an Actuarial Assistant for an Insurance Company. I then settled down and got married to a wonderful man, Doug Clark. We now have four beautiful girls, ages 23, 21, 19, and 16. About 12 years ago I became interested in Irish Dance. After years of training, competing and studying, I passed my certification exams to be a certified Irish Dance teacher with the Commission of Ireland (TCRG).
