Crossroads Campus Missions Trip to Costa Rica

In March 2012, fourteen GRACE high school students, one teacher, and secondary school principal Mandy Gill have the opportunity to take a trip to Costa Rica with the organizations, Casa Viva and Leader Treks. Casa Viva helps abandoned children find a mother and father or new place to live and is also the organization the students will be working with. Leader Treks is helping the Costa Rica Team organize the trip and sending 2 representatives to be on the trip with the team. While the team is in Costa Rica they will be doing work projects and spreading the love of Jesus in the public school system there (hopefully). They will also be putting on sports camps and participating in street outreaches.

The GRACE team has partnered with Leader Treks, an evangelical outreach organization that provides legal and logistical information within countries. Leader Treks allows groups similar to GRACE to partner and to serve easily.

As a way of raising funds for this trip, the missions team is selling Candy-Grams on the Crossroads Campus.  Print out the order form below and bring it along with payment on Wednesday and Friday at lunch and after school to a member of the missions team.  Thank you for your generous support.

Crossroads Campus Local Missions:

Our High School students participate in an off campus mission event in October and the spring. Students go in groups to local missions to help give back to the community. Students typically serve with House of Hope, Habitat for Humanity, a soup kitchen, the local food bank, and the Ronald McDonald House among others. This is a great learning and growth opportunity for our high school students.

Raleigh Campus Local Missions:
Students on the Raleigh Campus (kindergarten through sixth grades) are involved in community outreach and missions in a variety of ways.  Each homeroom selects a special outreach project for the year for its class.  The K-6 Student Council sponsors a number of campus-wide projects, including Operation Christmas Child, a food drive, collection of toys, hygiene items, and other items to give to local or mission groups.  Several groups of students provide prayer support and write letters for several military personnel and nursing homes.  Sixth grade students participate in middle school mission trips, and all K-6 students offer prayer support for GRACE mission teams.
