GRACE high school parents are invited to drop by as they are able to the Crossroads Campus the first Wednesday of each month (first meeting is December 2nd in the Library) from 8:00-9:15am to discuss topics related to preparing for and applying to college: standardized testing (PSAT, SAT ACT), extracurricular preparation, course rigor, athletic recruitment, financial aid/scholarship, “healthy letting go” and more… Bring your questions and prepare for some lively discussion and support!
The GRACE Annual Fund helps us fund curricular enhancements not covered by tuition dollars. Recently, GRACE funded a Leveled Book Room on the elementary campus. Here is what this particular investment provides:
The Leveled Book Room on the elementary campus will make a positive impact in our ability to differentiate reading instruction across grades K-2. A leveled book room will allow access to various resources for guided reading instruction, where teachers work with small groups on their individual instructional levels.
These early elementary grade levels represent the critical years where a child’s reading ability grows and develops. By strengthening our instruction during these formative years, GRACE students will become better readers who comprehend and read for meaning. They will more easily transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn” as a result of instruction that is intentional and targeted to meet individual needs.
