2016 Fall Sports Information

Times/Dates are subject to change. August 1, 2016 is the first official day fall practices can begin.

2016 Fall Sports Information (printable copy of information below)

JV & Varsity Cheer (Grades 9-12):

  • Coach TBD
  • First day of practice (tryouts) Dates TBD when coach is established
  • Location: Activity Building
  • GRACE provides uniform top and bottom (dependant upon uniform fitting)
  • Practice 2-3 days a week in the Activity Building – Crossroads Campus

Varsity Cross Country (Grades 9-12):

  • Coaches Pat & Kristy Dolwick pdolwick@gracechristian.net
  • First day of practice (tryouts) AUGUST 1, 2016
  • Practice 4-5 days a week at WakeMed, Bond Park, or Umstead
  • GRACE provides uniform top, family purchases shorts

MS Cross Country (Grades 6-8)

  • First day of practice (tryouts) Date TBD when coach is established (plan for Aug.1)
  • Practice 4-5 days a week at WakeMed, Bond Park, or Umstead
  • GRACE provides uniform top, family purchases shorts

Varsity Boys Football (Grades 9-12)

  • Coach Keith Boutwell kboutwell@gracechristian.net
  • First day of practice (tryouts) AUGUST 1, 2016
  • Practice 4 days a week, games on Friday  on campus – GRACE Athletic Field
  • Coach Boutwell will have summer training and workouts
  • GRACE provides helmet, shoulder pads, game & practice pants, game & practice tops
  • Practice location will primarily be the GRACE Athletic Field but also could be off-campus

MS Boys Football  (6-8)

  • Partnership with Carolina Copperheads
  • Email Athletic Director Devin Terris dterris@gracechristian.net for more information
  • We will not be fielding a JV team for 2016, but we are partnering with Carolina Copperheads to provide a MS team to compete in their MS League. Sign-up date at GRACE and more information will be sent out soon.

Varsity Boys Soccer (Grades 9-12)

  • Practice 4-5 days a week on campus – GRACE Athletic Field

2016 Summer Reading List

The 2016 Summer Reading List has been published just in time for the spring book fair at Barnes & Noble. Purchase your summer reading books Thursday and Friday of this week (April 21-22, 2016) or online through April 27th and bless GRACE while you prepare for next year. Turn in this Book Fair Voucher with your purchases and GRACE will receive a portion of your sales.

In addition to purchasing copies of your student’s required summer reading, you may make selections off the classroom & library wishlist and donate books to GRACE. Any purchase at Barnes & Noble (except for purchasing gift cards) will count towards our book fair proceeds.

Families near and far can go to http://BN.com/bookfair from April 21-27, 2016 and shop using the GRACE Book Fair ID 11759909 when they check out.  These purchases will help GRACE purchase more books for our library.
