Community Service Opportunities

MS Cross Country: September 10

GRACE high school students can earn community service hours by helping the MS Cross Country team host their first meet on Tuesday, September 10th. Contact Beth Chapman at BChapman@GRACEChristian.net for event details.

JAARS Mission at the Airport Event: September 14-15

All are invited to come out and learn about JAARS (Jungle Aviation And Radio Services) at Cox Airport located at 1616 Hwy 64 West in Apex, NC (near Beaver Creek shopping center).  At a “Missions At The Airport” (MATA) event you can ride in a missionary aircraft, talk with JAARS Missionaries and staff involved in logistical missions support, and so much more.  MATA will take place on Saturday, September 14 10:00-6:00 & Sunday, September 15 2:00 – 6:00.  JAARS helps make Bible translation and language development possible, especially in the most remote and difficult places on earth.

GRACE High School students can earn volunteer hours by working a shift at the Hospitality Tent for this event. Questions? Contact GRACE parent Kellie Sigmon at 919.632.3519

GRACE Community Service Day: Spring 2020

We are in the early stages of planning our 2020 High School Community Service Day and looking for meaningful service projects. If you would be interested in helping us plan for this event or having a group of students serve with a local mission you are currently involved in, please contact Gina DeBruhl at frontdesk@gracechristian.net

Hope Connection: Ongoing Opportunities Throughout the Year

Hope Connection is a local ministry, founded by a member of our GRACE community, that helps meet the needs of survivors of abuse and addiction. There are many ways in which high school students can support this ministry including staffing merchandise booths at Duke football and basketball games and working in the Deja-vu Thrift Store on Buck Jones Road.  For more information and/or to sign up go to https://www.hope-connection.org/volunteer.html
