Work of Art
This weekend, GRACE upper campus students had a blast “chalking” in downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District as part of SPARKcon’s ArtSPARK. Ten teams of 40 students and 17 parent chaperones enjoyed the day together. Two of the squares were honored with Sparkcon sponsor recognition. Red Hat celebrated the cassette tapes square design by Lena Giuggio and created with her team, Heidi Rogers, Caroline Murray and Laura Wingerd. Design Box honored the square created by Kiara Azamar, Ava Mendez and Bri Gower. Congrats to all who participated. Way to represent GRACE!

Also, the Upper Campus Student Council invites all high school students to the All That Jazz Gala in the GRACE Gymnasium from 7:00-11:
Fall Break: Don’t forget to schedule your parent-teacher conferences during fall break! Lower campus parents should have received scheduling information directly from their teacher. Upper campus parents can sign up for slots here.
Spirit Week: Join us from September 30 to October 4 as we celebrate GRACE Spirit Week leading up to Homecoming. Stayed tuned for more information!
Grandparent Day: Grandparents should have received invitations to Grandparent Day scheduled for October 25th. We have a special day planned, and we look forward to celebrating such an important part of our school community.
Last week on September 11th, GRACE students, faculty and staff wore red, white and blue to celebrate Patriot Day – a day of tribute to the individuals lost and injured in the attacks, first responders, and the many who have risen in service to defend our nation’s freedom.
Pop Tabs for the Ronald McDonald House: Tomorrow, September 18th, GRACE first graders will visit the Ronald McDonald House, which provides a place for families to call home so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost. Please send in any collected pop tabs for the children to donate. The funds generated from recycling the aluminum helps offset house expenses.
Stock the Freezer: The GRACE PTF Care Team is looking for volunteers willing to stock the freezer with meals to support our GRACE community. Interested in dropping off a meal? Sign up here.
