WAKE UP AND READ
GRACE Christian School will be collecting new and gently-used books to benefit the children of Wake County from January 13th to February 14th. Students can drop books in the bin in the lower campus lobby. Book donations should be appropriate for children birth -12 years of age. Used book donations should be gently-used (covers and pages intact, clean, and readable). We cannot accept coloring books, activity books or magazines. Book donations that are not acceptable for young children may be exchanged with other literacy organizations for more appropriate titles. COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
Juniors and seniors who need community service hours: Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, which license and provide ongoing support to families who foster or adopt, need child care during foster/adoption interest meetings and or continuing credits to maintain licensing. Boys and Girls Homes of NC is hosting a meeting on February 19th from 6-8:30 pm, which will be held at Hudson Memorial Church in Raleigh. ONLINE AUCTION: WE NEED YOU!
Are you a GRACE business owner? A family with a vacation home? Season ticket holders? We would be honored for you to consider donating to the Celebrate GRACE Online Auction. It is a great way to promote your business to the GRACE community of over 500 families. Previous auction items have included:
- Vacation homes at the beach, mountains, or lakes
- Business donations for experiences, baskets, restaurants, merchandise, and more
- Spa day, birthday parties, guys only, etc.
- PE Teacher for the Day, Librarian for the Day, School Nurse for the Day and more

DRIVER EDUCATION CLASS
GRACE will once again offer a Driver Education Class this summer – June 1-5, 8 am-2:30 pm. The cost of the class is $65.00. The registration form is available on the GRACE website or at the front reception desk. PLEASE NOTE – NO PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THIS TIME. We will notify you when the payment is due. To secure space in the class, please complete the registration form and turn it in at the front desk. Requirements – you must be 14 ½ years old by the first day of class and enrolled for the 2020-2021 school year at GRACE. Class size is limited to the first 40 students. Children’s book author and illustrator Jonathan Miller will be on the Lower Campus to share his art, read his books and discuss with students the writing process. Be sure to ask your children about his visit!

SUPERHERO STEAM NIGHT
January 21 | 5:45 p.m.
Lower Campus Families: our next Family STEAM Night is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21. Students can come dressed in superhero costumes if they would like or create their own costume during the event. Pizza will be available to purchase by the slice from 5:45-6:10. Mrs. Eichhorst’s 7th-grade scientists tested the unique properties of water. They love stations because they can move at their own pace while allowing Mrs. Eichhorst to have one-on-one time with students who need extra help practicing skills like measuring and math.
