COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Hope Connection is a local ministry, founded by a member of our GRACE community, that helps meet the needs of survivors of abuse and addiction. There are many ways in which high school students can support this ministry including staffing merchandise booths at Duke football and basketball games and working in the Deja-vu Thrift Store on Buck Jones Road. For more information and/or to sign up go to https://www.hope-connection.org/volunteer.html.

With numerous viruses going around, we want to remind our parents to please keep your students at home if they show signs of illness or have been diagnosed with the flu. Your child must be fever-free (without medication) for 24 hours before coming back to school. Students: remember that washing hands, sneezing or coughing using a tissue, and not sharing food or drinks can really help to keep the germs at bay. Thank for your diligence in keeping our students and staff healthy.
NO SCHOOL: LOWER CAMPUS
GRACE will be hosting the ACSI Regional Spelling Bee on lower campus.
DONUTS FOR DADS
February 7 | 7:45 – 8:45 a.m.
Men of GRACE: Join us for Donuts for Dads! Our guest speaker will be Larry Falivena, fellow GRACE dad and advocate for people suffering from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). After his own ALS diagnosis in 2017, Larry knew that he wanted to raise awareness of this disease and help raise funds for ALS research. He made national headlines by taking his family around the country this past summer to meet with other people who have been affected by ALS and tell their stories, all while visiting every Major League Baseball park – an “Iron Horse Tour.” Come join the Men of GRACE as Larry talks about his trip, his diagnosis, and what God is doing in his life.
