  • Mabopane Foundation- Our Saturday sales are 10:00am-1:00pm. We are always needing extra floaters for each of our sales and it would be a great help to have some of the young men as our "manly help" (helping with moving bigger pieces of furniture that have sold & helping carry out large bags to cars for some of our shoppers) during our sales. We would also love if some art students that would be able to help design and paint a mural on the side of a metal container for our prayer garden we are building! Any art students interested in helping with the mural, please contact Becky at (919) 818-3804. Dates include: Saturday, 9/11, Saturday, 9/25, Saturday, 10/9, Saturday, 10/30, Saturday, 11/13 (This is our Christmas open house weekend and is always extremely busy! We always need a lot of extra hands for this weekend!); Saturday, 11/27 (This is our end of year clearance sale and also extremely busy!) https://mabopanekids.org/
  • Notes for Nurses: Olive Tree Blessing Bags has a project in conjunction with WakeMed Health & Hospitals for school-aged children (and adults also!) to make or write thank you notes to frontline doctors and nurses. The goal is to include handwritten notes with all blessing bags provided to nurses and doctors, with a delivery in October.
The rough deadline is October 15, but that could be delayed by about a week. If you have questions or would like additional details, please reach out to Suzanne Tarry of Olive Tree Blessing Bags (suzanne@olivetreeblessings.com).
