Hello

College Connections Newsletter

The November College Connections Newsletter includes helpful information for understanding what to do if you are deferred and some astounding statistics on the November 1st application deadline. Juniors should especially pay attention to this one for next year. Links to scholarships for seniors and to enrichment opportunities for younger students are also included in this month’s newsletter.

Senior parents, don’t forget to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and, if applicable, the CSS Profile. Remember, you will fill out this form EVERY YEAR so make sure you keep your FSA ID Number and password somewhere you will remember. Also remember, that in North Carolina, financial aid distributions are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so there is an advantage to filing early.

On December 7th at 8:15am, Mrs. Gill and I will host a Q&A meeting on campus and virtually. Our topic will be standardized testing. Links to the virtual meeting are in the newsletter and on the event calendar on the GRACE website. I am also available to meet with students and parents as needed.
