Athletic FAQs

Do sports teams hold practices in the summer? Yes, many teams (especially fall season teams) have optional practices during the summer. The fall season starts on the Monday of the week that includes August 1st. Tryouts for teams with limited rosters will happen that week, students planning to try out for a fall sport should plan late-summer commitments accordingly.

When do practices for each season begin? Teams may hold “open gym” practices before the season begins. Attendance at these practices must be voluntary and open and cannot be used as a requirement for participating on the team. Please refer to the NCISAA Rules & Regulations for more complete information.

When are tryouts for sports teams held? Not every sport has tryouts, but those that do (teams with limited rosters) will conduct tryouts the first two days of the season with a final roster being posted by Friday of that same week.

Are there additional fees to be part of a sports team? Yes, there is a $100 per athlete per sport fee with the exception of Football being $125.00 assessed as soon as rosters have been finalized. You may pay this fee online via RenWeb or by check made payable to GRACE Christian School.

What is the benefit of the Eagles Club? Eagles Club membership includes a family pass (up to 6 family members) that will allow you entry into all regular season home games (excludes for Hoops for Hope, conference championship and tournament games). All proceeds from Eagles Club memberships benefits the athletic program at GRACE. See the Eagles Club page for more information.
