GRACE is thankful for its partnership with the following ministry organizations who bring gifts, talents, and opportunities for our students to grow in spiritual maturity.
LeaderTreks youth ministry provides leadership tools for youth ministry. We help youth workers develop leadership skills, we challenge adult volunteers to move from participants to mentors, and we give students an opportunity to lead. We provide leadership training for everyone who serves in youth ministry. Our youth ministry leadership programs include mission trips, wilderness trips, leadership training retreats, and Refuel Retreats for youth workers.
Leadership can be learned. This truth is core to everything we do at LeaderTreks youth ministry. Leadership is not something we are born to. It is a process. We believe there is a set of leadership principles that, when applied, allow normal people to do extraordinary things. These principles include communication, problem solving, focus, and navigation. A great place to start in leadership is to learn how to use these principles effectively.
Casa Viva (www.casaviva.org)
Casa Viva exists because something precious and holy has been shattered—the family—and a response is needed. Casa Viva believes our solutions need to resonate with hope—hope in a God who calls each child by name.
Casa Viva is passionate about children, and we’re passionate about family. We exist because we believe our first response to children separated from their families should always be a living family and their community of relationships. We believe a living family offers to a child what he desperately needs—attachment and connection within circles of care.
Casa Viva is a new INITIATIVE in Latin America. The idea of families caring for children in their own homes is new in our region. Yes, foster care is common in North America and Europe, but not in Latin America. We are advocating to see care solutions that are based in family first. We are working with local churches and national governments to create solutions that are financially self sustainable and not dependent on long term foreign funds. Nationals are implementing and sustaining the program.
7 Billion Reasons (www.7billionreasons.org)
There are 7 billion people in the world. Each of those 7 billion people represents a reason for us to do something outside of ourselves, a reason to serve. At 7 Billion Reasons, we are convinced that God is calling us to do more than live our quiet lives in suburban America. He is calling us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the weak and defenseless. Our desire is to be obedient to His call and we hope you will join us.
Matthew 28:19 commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” The verb mathēteuō is translated as “make disciples” and communicates the idea of a learning believer who is growing in their faith and love for the Lord. At 7 Billion Reasons, we believe whole-heartedly that God has called us to go and make learning believers in Busia, Uganda by establishing a Classical Christian School, supporting the local Church body, and being the hands and feet of Jesus to those who desperately need Him. Matthew 28:20 follows with a promise that “I am with you always”, a promise we enthusiastically claim as we go.
