Curriculum Overviews

The Lower Campus and Upper Campus pages of this website provide detailed information about the curriculum in each grade.

Students in GRACE’s Lower Campus program (TK-6th grade) experience hands-on learning, differentiated instruction, and an active, collaborative learning environment. In the youngest grades, students are given the tools and the knowledge to solve age-appropriate problems by learning how to share, take turns, and develop the understanding that every person is worthy of respect and kindness. As students progress in their academic career, students gain foundational skills in reasoning while learning how to communicate with coherent arguments, and demonstrate personal responsibility.

The Upper Campus provides a rigorous college preparatory academic program taught from a biblical worldview. The curriculum provides the challenge of both honors and Advanced Placement® classes. We desire for students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the character to challenge the culture of this world. Our goal is for GRACE students to graduate spiritually mature, academically prepared, and mentally confident.

GRACE affirms the importance of technology in education and was one of the first schools in the greater Raleigh area to adopt a 1:1 program. Over the years we have continued to embrace technology to enhance education in all grades TK-12, while also building a robust list of class offerings that equip our students to engage with current and emerging technology.

The technology goals for GRACE align with the standards established by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Our technology initiative advances student learning and increases opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Teachers use technology to challenge students in higher-level thinking skills, inspire students to become lifelong learners, and prepare GRACE students for life beyond the classroom.

GRACE students of all ages have many opportunities to expand their understanding of the world beyond Raleigh, North Carolina. High School students serve local and distant communities and participate in international enrichment opportunities Upper campus school students have the opportunity to participate in domestic and international service trips as well as enrichment trips to historic European countries. Additionally, GRACE has established a foreign exchange relationship with New Oasis, hosting secondary students from China.

Students are encouraged to care deeply and consistently for their local communities through volunteerism, and through GRACE-sponsored community service opportunities each year. Students have recorded more than 10,000 service hours in the last five years. Since 2009, GRACE has hosted Hoops for Hope, a charity basketball event that has raised over $100,000 for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
