We were very encouraged by how many incoming seventh graders wanted to run for student council and by how close the election was among these students. As such, we are also excited to announce that incoming seventh graders Caroline Reddersen and Liam Hartley will be on the Student Council's new Student Morale and Encouragement Committee. As a part of being on this committee, they will get the opportunity to offer ideas and participate in things the Student Council does to encourage the student body on the Upper Campus.
GCS 7th Graders Helped Rise Against Hunger

Last week, our GCS 7th grade students participated in a community service event. During second or third period, students worked together to pack meals for Rise Against Hunger, "a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies." We were excited for our middle school students to have this opportunity as a grade level to serve and give back in this meaningful way.
