Yesterday we kicked off our annual March Missions Month! This is a tradition at GRACE in which the Lower Campus takes the month of March to support a missions organization and raise awareness in our student body of how the Kingdom of God is advancing globally. This year we are partnering with City of Refuge Ministries (CORM) in Ghana, West Africa. We are providing supplies for the children of CORM and raising funds to help renovate a school along the shores of Lake Volta. Collecting Supplies for City of Refuge - All Month
CORM has created an Amazon Wishlist for the GRACE community. These supplies will go toward students at their school and children in their children’s home. Please use the suggested shipping address as it will directly ship to a missions team that will deliver the supplies to City of Refuge Ministries when they go this summer.
March Missions Festivities- March 22nd
We will hold March Missions festivities on Friday, March 22nd. This will include an all-school-chapel with our featured speaker and CORM representative, Autumn Achaempong. Miss Autumn was our speaker for Christian Emphasis Week in the fall and the students are excited for her to return.
March 22nd will also be a "spirit day" and everyone interested in participating can wear their favorite team jerseys or colors in the spirit of March Madness. Additionally, later in the day, students will have the opportunity to participate in some fun games that revolve around the theme of CORM and Ghana.
We will also hold our annual Cutest Pet Contest on this day, to raise money for City of Refuge and their Hausa Kope Education Renovation Project. The Cutest Pet Contest is always a favorite for the students! You may submit an entry for your pet using the Google Form for your student’s grade level provided below. There is a minimum $10 donation to CORM to enter the contest and the donation link is on the Google Form. Our goal is to raise $2,500 towards this cause! Submissions are due by Monday, March 18th at 8:00 AM, so don’t delay!

We are excited about this opportunity to partner with City of Refuge Ministries and to support and pray for vulnerable children in Ghana. In doing so, we have the amazing privilege to live out James 1:27 which calls us to care for the orphan: “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” Thank you for your participation in helping make this a fun and successful March Missions Month!
