What's my why?
I spent two decades involved in a cross-cultural ministry in the Republic of Panama, where I learned two distinct languages and saw how intertwined culture is in the language-learning process. When we returned to live in the U.S., I began teaching Spanish. I love introducing my students to different cultures around the Spanish-speaking world. As the second most spoken language, it is used in many different cultural contexts. My goal is to train global citizens who truly care about communicating in a culturally relevant way.
