Meet Mr. Larry Welch

What's my why?
In my first career, God called my wife and me to do cross-cultural evangelism and mentoring in a remote area of Panama. My wife and I spent 20 wonderful years working among an indigenous group in the northwest part of the country. We had the privilege of learning not only Spanish but also the culture and the native language of the people to whom we ministered. I was involved in evangelism, Bible teaching, creating Bible study materials, and mentoring leadership to take over the leadership of the church.
 
Once we came home from the field, I started working as a Software Developer and at the same time worked as a layperson in our home church. I did software development for almost 20 years. It was a challenging and rewarding time for me. But a few years ago, God was working in my heart to move me from software development and becoming more involved with God's kingdom. God was preparing me for another opportunity to serve.
 
In 2023, God opened the opportunity for me at GRACE Christian School to serve in their IT department. I count it a blessing and a privilege to be able to use my God-given gifts to serve the students, staff, and faculty by helping them become successful in their use of technology. Not only that, but my heart also wants to be a part of the lives represented here at GRACE. To share my life and to touch other people's lives in a godly and biblical way. God has a plan, and I'm right where I need to be. I'm looking forward to the great things God is going to do in the hearts and lives of the people who walk the halls of GRACE Christian School... mine included.
